I just think they're alittle naff, not very well written for a professional book. I don't like ANY of his characters and he seems like he's trying to be smart but failing.

cycle is stupid. He's better off calling it series. or something with Quad since Quad means 4. Quadogy or something perhaps?

Cylce? That is stupid, for a start, cycle implies that there is more then one cycle in a series/world..oh dear, i hope that's not what it is! Shocked

I think the movie was horribly insufficient.
They didn't spend enough time on it.

Compare to Lord of the Rings.
They create a 4-hour show.
So?
It's satisfying.

Eragon?
2-hour show.
Many points missed out.
Boo.

I loved the books, but was greatly disappointed with the movie. I agree with Siyee, I don't care if it's unoriginal, the books are really good!

Anyway, when is the third book scheduled for release?

And what's the fourth book's name?

The thing is, LotR was the exception, it's something that normally really shouldn't have been done, but it works. To be honest, I wouldn't want to sit through 4 hours of Eragon. The problem was more with the content and the way it was put together, rather then how long the film was.

yeah i thought that the film could have been better prepared e.g. when Eragon looks through Saphira's eyes they made it a spell insted of part of their close connection and bond

Oh sorry, I meant content density.
The two hours of Eragon were not satisfying because there wasn't enough impact to really get the audience to feel, "Wow, this is the best ever!"
Instead, they put in "weak" content, a waste of two hours. It is possible they make it real good, all in two hours, but too bad.

And Arya isn't pretty.
Talking about their cast, I think the only people whom I had expected to look like their characters were Brom and Ajihad. The rest don't look like what I expected them to be.

How sad.

loved the books, can't wait for the third to come out... BUT absolutely HATEd the movie... i was embarresed to watch the failed attempts at acting, Brom was just about the only good character.
I was also embarresed because i had convinced my friends(who don't read) that the books were awsome so i dragged them to see the movie and it was a serious let down, they thought my taste in books was sad.

I read book 1 & 2 a few years ago... I really enjoyed them! Razz But i thought some parts were a bit drawn out.

I didnt read book 3, because I thought I wouldnt understand it, since i read the other books so long ago Confused

I saw the film when it came out, I was quite disappointed Sad I think they had good material to work with, but somehow still ruined it.

About Arya, I think she's good-looking! Whoever said she wasnt must have very high standards lol And I actually liked her more in the film than the book. I always thought she was arrogant in the books. Rolling Eyes

I get what you mean.
Maybe I was kinder to her because, like I said earlier, I liked her more in the film... I really thought she acted all superior in the book, and that annoyed me...

I didn't like her in books either. I hated what she did to Eragon and I hated him because she attracted him so much Razz

Exactly!!! She was such a dislikable person. I hated how Eragon was attracted to her for so long, we all knew it would never work out... Rolling Eyes

I really liked Brom in the Book, but I knew he would die. That knid of character always does! Confused
