its pronounced Daniel on the audio tapes but i stilll preferr Dannil

But the person doing the audio probably couldn't pernounce Dann-ill, so said Daniel instead.
Actually, there's a guy in the X Factor (I presume you know bout this cos your from England) called Danyl ( Im rooting for him coincidentally). Very Happy Anyways, his name is prenounced as Daniel. I've never even known Danyl or Dannyl was a real name...

Trudi has said that she sometimes takes normal names and just give them another spelling to fit the fantasy feel more.

That explains Tania, which I always thought of as Tanya lol And Sonea is like Sonia or Sonya.
Rothen is like Rohan, wait thats not a real place Very Happy

I used to pronounce Sonea as Sonya, but not any more.

It depends on how you say Sonya, i say it Son-yah, with no e sound at all, wheras Sonea to me is said Son-e-ah

I say it Son-ea, like Son-e-a only a little faster so it might sound like Sonya anyway lol

I think if I wrote a fantasy book, I might provide a pronounciation guide at the end/start of the book. Especially if I was using a name like "Dannyl" which people can pronounce in like 20 different ways lol Very Happy

But in the book Eragon, I didnt know about the pronounciation guide at the end until I was nearly half way through. So I was pronouncing some names wrong!!! And I kept saying them the wrong way Razz
