Actually, there's a guy in the X Factor (I presume you know bout this cos your from England) called Danyl ( Im rooting for him coincidentally). Anyways, his name is prenounced as Daniel. I've never even known Danyl or Dannyl was a real name...

It depends on how you say Sonya, i say it Son-yah, with no e sound at all, wheras Sonea to me is said Son-e-ah

I think if I wrote a fantasy book, I might provide a pronounciation guide at the end/start of the book. Especially if I was using a name like "Dannyl" which people can pronounce in like 20 different ways lol

But in the book Eragon, I didnt know about the pronounciation guide at the end until I was nearly half way through. So I was pronouncing some names wrong!!! And I kept saying them the wrong way
