The Lost Realms Rules (D&D Roleplay. Not BMT or AOTF) Alright lets go over the rules and discuss any concerns we have with the roleplay first.
First we'll need a Dungeon Master. It was Cery but since he's not around all to much, the 4 of us, Floot, Odessa, Nim and I decided to elect a new DM. For the time being we decided to take turns. Now I think we've gotten to the point where we need one solid DM.
Rules:
-Don't DM unless the DM says you can.
-No killing teammates.
-Its a Semi-serious roleplay. No OP (Over Power)
-Don't stop posting. If you want to quit then tell me!
Current Quest:
Find inhabitants and stay alive
-This will be edited when you complete a quest.
I believe the current quest that Cery posted is completed as we found inhabitants sort of.
A Dungeon Master tells you for example what happens and what the reaction of the NPC's or general surroundings is upon your own actions.
And its kind of like D&D, you have to say what your character does, then I'll explain that where going on a quest. And we'll type what we do to complete the quest. And its really quite fun.
If anyone else knows anything in regards to rules feel free to post.

Thanks Lorlyn.
I would like to make it clear: Lady Nimira is our DM now.
Lorlyn- 07-05-2008
welcome. I think this is also a good area to discuss any further rules or even discuss what's going on in the roleplay. I think we just needed structure in the roleplay mostly and we seem to have that now.
Mirar- 07-18-2008

Thank you, and pleasedo start discussing.
Lorlyn- 07-19-2008
I updated the plot from the start to where Mirar comes in. Someone else can put in those details. I think it's good we go over past plot and what is to come. We did forget a plot that Nim, Floot, Odessa and I have started and have not resolved. We should continue that plot for sure.
Past Plot:
Floot, Odessa, Lorlyn, Nim, Carter have been shipwrecked off the island.
Shortly after arriving we're attacked by a strange creature killed by sword (Nim, Odessa and Floot) and magic. We continue on looking for inhabitants.
Carter went missing (not that we realized it!)
A little while after the strange creature we come across a piece of a ancient ruin to an old city that looks like a door and appears to be a place where some ancient ruins are.
Nim wonders off to see if there is anything else in the forest and gets caught in a trap. We free Nim and soon get attacked by flying arrows. After killing all the people who were shooting us us, we continue on down the path and come across a look out point, a cliff, looking over a desert where we see inhabitants, woman and child with guards, in beggar clothing that were worn and torn but their skin were clean when two of them see us. Nim and I duck quickly (Lorlyn using magic to help conceal her) but not soon enough. Two strangers come up to check us out and attack us, one is a powerful mage of close strength to Lorlyn, Lorlyn having just enough strength to hold her own for the most part against the mage, the man wasn't a magician but was a strong warrior. Tya appears and comes to our aid, helping me shield everyone so that I can focus on attacking the mage and the man. After defeating the mage, Lorlyn faints and Tya comes to aid some more. We soon leave the area, trying to avoid more strangers from the previous party (while Lorlyn is carried by Nim as Lorlyn is still a bit faint)
We learn that the people we were attacked by were slavers who worked for a slave master by the name of Iraforth who is a cruel, takes in travelers as slaves (and since he had a powerful mage as a slaver it is likely he has some very strong magic not that we came to that conclusion in the plot....)
Carter returns, injured. Lorlyn heals him some, healing the wound (not the poison that Mirar finds when he joins us)
He reported that he was attacked by tribesmen that were hunting deer and had bears with them and told us to "stay away" before blacking out again. Later when he comes to again he reports remember dogs, 3 to every tribesman, and that they spoke of a magical stone (the elemental stone that we're now dealing with in current roleplay) and that they attacked him when they saw him while yelling "Kill the competetor". Cartor pretended to die (passing out having helped that act) and found his way back to us
Mirar saves Carter from a fatal disease.
Mirar joins the company, as a cleric and a healer.
Tya and Mirar mind-communicate.
Nim and Lorlyn are suspicious of the pair.
Borne appears as the Protector of the Earth Stone.
He reveals Tya's and Mirar's identities - The Darkness Stone Mage and the Earth Stone Mage respectively.
A minor fight between Borne and Mirar begin.
Borne regains control of his mind and body.
He explains that the Enemy had been possessing him.
Negotiations begin.
It is then agreed that the Stone will be kept with a non-magic-user.
Mirar makes an oath that he will not use his powers against anyone in the group.
Mirar explains the burden of his job: protecting the Stone.
Borne starts taking down the Stone's protections.
The Stone is revealed.
If anyone else has more details that should be added to the above then do so. The more details the better. We should use this thread to keep track of the plot so that a new person wanting to join in doesn't have to page though 20 pages but can glance though a list of what happened. We should update what has happened to. I say once we've got all the important details listed we can more thoughly discuss what to do next as I think we should bring back some of the elements we started out with back into play with the current plot. I'll go into more detail in a second.
Re-negotiations start: Who will keep the Stone?
Side-negotiations start: How will the Stone be protected?
Mirar and Tya plan to get the Stone back.
_____________________________________________________________
How are we going to continue?
Who is going to hold on to the Stone?
Where are we heading for?
Will Mirar get his Earth Stone back?
Earlier we brought up that there was a strong slave master (see name in past plot) who was in charge of the slavers whom we killed before meeting Mirar and Borne. After killing the slavers we moved on knowing that the slave master would be after us for killing his slavers and because we escaped. I want us to bring back this slave master into play. Maybe not meet him yet but it should be the main threat. And since he had a strong mage as a slaver I think we can assume that he is a powerful Mage. Having Mirar, Tya and Borne (without the stone but with the elemental stone that strength/aid would be even stronger with Mirar weilding it and would certainly be a benefit for us if we were to be attacked by t his slave master and had to fight him, as I could barely kill the mage, though I was strong enough to do so but just so (remember mage was close in strength to me and rather powerful)
Not long after finding out about the slavers and slave master we find carter and find about the tribesmen after the stone. We meet up with Mirar and Borne soon after and find the elemental stone that the tribesmen were looking for. I believe we should also bring the tribesmen back into play. They may be able to be easily defeated but we could use them a subplot. Perhaps they work for this slaver and were sent to find it for him. If that were the case, no matter what Nim, Floot and I think of Mirar, Borne or Tya, it is unlikely that the three of them are going to support them and we're all likely to fight on the same side so while Nim, Floot and I might not like the elemental stone the slave master is a far greater threat. That is my suggestion.
of course we do still have to decide who will hold the stone and protect it and how it'll be protected but I think that we should also feature out what goals we have in mind plot wise besides the current plot points needing to be featured out.
Mirar- 07-19-2008
Very well-elaborated Lorlyn!
Yes, I was thinking of bringing back "Iraforth" as well.
Okay, so the discussion lies on who carries the Stone, and whether to keep it visible.
And of couse in the later part of the story...
Are we going to be attacked?
Or are we not going to be noticed, and Mirar does something to make his plan succeed?
E.g: Mirar could attack the slaves and make it seem like they had attacked them first.
Haha, okay thanks Lorlyn anyway.
So please discuss plot.
Lord Borne- 07-19-2008
Well when i mentioned in the roleplay that i thought that i had killed the only person strong enough to keep me out of my mind it could be this slave master. As he could be the one who taught me the Black magic. As i had this idea that i only learned Black magic as a last resort as my littla sister was killed and i couldn't kill the person who killed her without learning black magic.
Lorlyn- 07-19-2008
I think you could go with that. It could be Iraforth who was in your mind and it would explain some of your actions from earlier to and still have him connect with the story.
I think there should be a attack. perhaps those tribesmen should attack us. I don't like the idea of Mirar causing an attack. I'd rather the tribesmen find us on their own. They were bound to anyways since they're looking for the stone. The stone still being visable though would be a good reason for them to attack since it draws people towards it so perhaps have them attack before we get a chance to make the stone invisisble to others?
Lady Tya- 07-19-2008
An attack of some sort with the Tribemen would be good, give us some action. I think me adn Mirar should at least appear to be helping for the immediate future. Whether we get the stone and if we do what we do with it could be seen as the plot progresses. I'm a believer in 'just see what happens'.
It may be an idea to just continue and see what the best course of action will be rather than trying to head too mcuh to a certain course. or just not plan too carefully too far ahead. A little preplanning but not too much please.
Mirar- 07-19-2008
Okay, so it will be decided that the Stone be made invisible, but the tribesmen attack before we can do anything, so Mirar is quite satisfied by the sudden change of plans, not to mention to his advantage.
Right, so let's get on with it.
(And Tya, I agree. Not too much planning, if not we might obstruct better ideas.)
Lorlyn- 07-20-2008
(alright that works. I'll post more tomorrow. I'm not feeling to creative at the moment. I don't mind being the one to try to shield it etc. but I've got to figure out in what creature made up way to do that. I can think that up tomorrow. It's almost midnight here. time for some sleep)
