"arena's all yours again SE" said lorlyn as she walked out of the arena.

Charen is grumpy. Alira forgot her. She tries to call her to come back, but still can't speak. Anyway, it would be useless. Charen walks back to her room in the novice's quarters.

*looks at SE before bursting out laughing* shall we carry on SE?

SE laughs along and shakes her head. "Ok, let's get started again. Now where were we? Oh yes, let me see that now again, lirael," she says and sends a weak strike at lirael who is ready with her shield up.

*she focused and again extended her senses and absorbed the strike into her shield more efficiently than last time.*

"Good, good, you're improving fast. Feel ready to try and absorb a stronger, faster strike?"

okay go for it!!!

Lirael stands ready, shield up. SE waits a while, then without moving at all, she sends a considerably strong forcestrike. Lirael is a bit surprised, but manages to keep her concentration..

and absorbs most of the strike letting a small amount of power escape because she was a bit suprised.

*looks on impressed and cant wait to try*

"Near perfect, that one. I'll be sending ones of different strengths now, then I'll start sending them to different parts of your shield and not just the front. Don't worry though, we'll start off slow, I'll give you a few seconds to absorb each one before I send another.." SE starts sending a few forcestrikes in a direct way, then speeds up a little and varies their direction.

*relaxes a little and uses her senses to judge where each strike is going to hit absorbing each one as it comes*

After a short while SE stops sending strikes and smiles. "Well, I think we've made some considerable progress today. Now you seem comfortable enough with this technique." SE dropped her shield. "Well, that's it for today. Oh and you might want to throw one or two strong strikes at the barrier before you leave. You've absorbed more energy than your natural barrier can sustain so you're.. uh.. glowing slightly," SE smiled, "Until next time, then."

Lorlyn walked in the arena the next day in the late afternoon. "Hello SE, I hope you don't mind if I use a corner of Arena. I'm going to do some warrior lessons with Gecko."

"Sure, Lorlyn, our lesson had just finished anyway. It's all yours" SE waves and heads out to the stands where she left some papers to mark. Taking a seat she begins grading them and every so often watching Lorlyn and Gecko on the far side of the arena.
