Yeah me too, i was really dissappointed when he wasn't in the book, after all Drilli was pregnant in the first book, their baby may have been born by the second one. Its not as if they didn't go to that area on the book, Auraya was there treating them for months. I guess you coud argue that he didn't add to the plot and that the relationship between Mirar/Leiard and Auraya was more important.....

He wasn't? I did not even notice as I was so caught up with the Pentadrians and Emerahl, Mirar and Aureya. Should reread but have no time for it. I am just looking forward to receiving the final book.

no i agree, i missed Tryss in LOTW. Trudi could have made some effort to put him in, even if it was a fleeting moment of Auraya passing him by or something.

yeah but i kinda saw Tryss as one of the main characters in POTW. but all of a sudden hes gone in LOTW. so there may be soem other important-ish character cut out of VOTG, as Niall27 has said.

In LOTW, it seemed to me that Tryss's plotine in POTW had sort of been given to Imi and insight into the people of Borra. It adds up nicely since in POTW we had insight, through Tryss, to the people of Si.
Though it would have been great to see him in LOTW. He was only mentioned once, when Mirar come to help the breakout of hearteater and his messenger siyee has Tryss as his idol. (Just from memory here, I'm fuzzy on the details.)

Yay, I just finished LOTW 5 minutes ago!
I had the same impression as you, SE. The insight in the Elai-world was more important in LOTW than the insight in the Siyee-world, which we got through Mirar and Auraya anyway. But Tryss seems to have become the ultimate Siyee-idol, I think he was mentioned more than once.
