Thyme is used as a sedetive tonic for nerves and pain. Evening Primrose-used as soothing remedy for coughs Basil-good for headaches Hedgemustard-used for colds and congestion Now you need to take one or two of these herbs, perhaps pumpkin and paypa, and use them for your first potion. what you need to do is get the ingredents first and cut them into the proper sizes and then put them in the right order and follow the orders in the book word for word. Don't do something if you're not sure. better to ask first. First lets start with a Hand Salve. (I found it online to make it realitic :)) it's fairly simple. You need to extract the beneficial properties of the herbs in oil then add beeswax to harden it to feel more cream/lotion like."

( :shock: ) *goes to the corner to get the herbs, then, since Lorlyn doesn't seem to notice, leaves the room, heading back to her normal class... where she can just fade in the back.. and not have to make this potion..*

Lorlyn sees gecko trying to leave and goes and fetch gecko. Lorlyn comes back. opens the door and watches Gecko walk in. This time she puts a barriar up on the door so Gecko can't pass until she lets her go. "now make your potion."

*looks at all the random ingredience and sighs. When lorlyn isn't looking, she reaches out to touch the barrier. It stings her hand and she shrieks and jumps back, rubbing her hand*

Lorlyn hears a shriek and turns towards the sound to see Gecko holding her hand in her other hand close to her chest. \\\"you touched the barrier didn't you. touching it is not going to make it go away. you do know the sooner you make your potion the sooner you can go. I can get a harder potion for you if you would like\\\" said lorlyn. Turning around Lorlyn erased the previous potion and started to write up another potion for Gecko to make instead of the other...which would be harder. \\\"First we'll expand on the hand salve\\\" said lorlyn. Herbs needed: St. john's wort (fresh): 7 flower/leaves Comfrey Root (dried): 5 stems Calendula flowers (dried): 2 flowers (no stems) 2 ounce of oil (just need to pour in bowl) 1 ounces of gold or white beeswax (5 teaspoons=1 ounce) Instructions: 1.) grind your herbs (comfry root, st. john's wort, calendula) 2.) Put in oil to to soak so it extracts the beneficial properties of the herbs. 3.) Put the beeswax in another bowl and slowly melt it. 4.) When wax has melted, dip a spoon in the mixture to make sure you have the right consistency. If you can easily stir it you can then add it to the oil to harden salve. 5.) Add a few drops of fragrance to the oil 6.) stir all together Lorlyn turns around to explain the herbs. \\\"You should take notes on these herbs, as you will be tested on them and I expect you to do well on it even if it's not you're displine.\" Lorlyn turns around and starts writing on the board as she explains at the same time. \"St. John's Wort is used for burns, wounds, bruises, sores, insect bites, fungal infections such as eczema, and itching. The oil of the flowering tops turns a gorgeous red color. Comfrey Root is used for the treatment for skin, bone, and muscle injuries. Comfrey helps wounds to heal quickly. Use for burns, blisters , broken bones, and inflammations. Calendula helps to soothe inflamed tissues, reduce pain and aids in quick healing of cuts and abrasions. Now as Zurina could use some salve in her clinic I will make one and you will make one.\\\" Lorlyn goes to the shelves and pulls a small bowl for the beeswax and a bigger bowl to mix the salve in and pulls down a container to store it in. She sets it down on a table and goes to pull the herbs, oil and beeswax and gets a spoon and a tool to help grind the herbs with. grabs some lavendar fragrance and a candle.
