*WinterSnake looks at the other door then she went back to the healing room and looks at her guardian.* "Woah. That was cool! Heehee. Erm.... I don't have any question fo... Well, can any magician see the memories I don't want to let them see by force, or somethin'?"

Zurina thought about her answer. "More often than not no Wintersnake. No one can force their way into your mind, and even if they tried, you can force them back out, hide your memories, confuse then etc. What i want to do with you now is to move on to using your power to heal minor cuts, nothing too deep. Do you feel up to it? Sometimes novices can feel tired after the mental strain you just under went."

WinterSnake nodded in thanks, "Oh, coolio. I feel okay. Yep, I think I'm ready to start!"

"Very Well." Zurina stated, smiling. Crossing to her desk she took a knife from the top draw, "as there is only one of you we will be doing this the proper way." She could see the look of worry on her novices face, "Don't worry, i'm not going to cut you or anything!" Rasing the sleave of her own robe she made a shallow cut on her forearm. "Normally, such a thing is not done, with there being a few in the class it would be impractical, but as i said, there is only one of you, so only one cut, and i can handle one cut." She said with a reassuring smile.

*WinterSnake looks at the cut, feeling uncomfortable and worried but shrugs then nods, smiling nervously* "Er....Okay, my lady. As long it's a small cut! Erm.... What do I have to do now?"

Zurina smiles, trying to reassure her novice. "It isn't the first time i've done this for a novice." She recalled to mind the last time she had had a promising student and had done anything she could to bring out their potential, "Place your hand over mine," She said, putting her hand over the cut she had made. Her novice followed suit and placed her hand on top of Zurinas. "Can you sense the magic within my hand? I'm directing it towards the cut. Can you feel it?"

*WinterSnake, feeling a bit more reassured, nods* "Aye, I can feel it. It's a bit similar to somethin' we did earlier, the feelin' I mean...."

"Thats right" Zurina replied. "Now keep that feeling, and sense it, follow its progress through me into my arm, feel the magic sow together the tissue and skin of my arm............"

"Ah, okay." *WinterSnake closes her eyes and she jolts a bit in surprise as she sensed the magic then followed it through the tissue of Zurina's arm* "There....!"

Allowing herself a little smile she continued to heal herself until there wasn't a single trace of the cut. "See" Zurina said, removing her hand, "no harm done." You ready to give it a go for yourself? Obviously on my arm, not yours!"

*WinterSnake nods excitely* "Yep.. Erm, I have a question first, if that's okay? I assume that healing on another person is just like healing myself.. so..what is the difference between the two?"

"The healing of ones self is a lot easier as there isn't really a barrier, you are within your own body and free to roam where you will within it......But when healing another, you have to have contact with them. There is a natural barrier, that being the skin and in order to heal you need to get past it, this being achived by contact. Does that help?"

*WinterSnake nods then relax a bit* "Ah, aye! That did help...Thanks. Now I feel ready!"

"Good." Zurina said happily. Cutting another shallow cut in her arm she hled it out for Wintersnake. "When you are ready, give it a go, just remember to relax."

*WinterSnake shakes her body and relaxs, her hand now on Zurina's arm. She closes her eyes then she sensed the magic in Zurina's arm.* "Er, I have to send my magic to that cut, right?"
