Room 215 - Lady Shadow --> EMPTY (number can be taken!)
After Shadow had left the Administrator's office, she walked to the Novice's quarters. She had to ask once though, almost losing her way already. Walking through the building, she slowly passed the rooms, counting the numbers in her head. Finally she came at the door labelled 215, the door which leads to her own room for at least the next five years. Knocking first to be sure there was nobody inside, she entered and looked around. It was a simple room, a bed, a desk, the regular things. Closing the door behind her, she dropped her bag and robes on the bed and sat down. So this was it, she had entered the Guild and there was no turning back. Not that there had ever been a turning back, her parents would not allow it. Standing up again, Shadow moved to the window and looked out over the grounds. Taking another deep breath, she tried to calm her nerves and clear her mind. After several moments, she turned to take the robe and try it on. She had heard this would be the only thing she was going to wear until graduating and after that it would be magician's robes. It was weird, knowing you'll never wear anything else anymore. But then again, much would change and the only thing she could do was adapt.

Ora knocked on the door. She heard that a nev novise came to the room 215. It was just beside her room so she decided to greet new friend

Shadow had just fitted on her robe, when she heard the knock on her door. Blinking a bit dumbfounded, she walked over to it and opened the door. Seeing another novice, she was suddenly unsure whether novices bowed to one another or not. Just to be sure, she did so, while fidgetting with the robe to get it sit better.

"Ow, you dont hawe to bow!", Ora said smiling. She remembered how she was confused when she joined the Guild. "My name is Ora", she said, "I came to greet you".

Giving a faint grin, Shadow shrugged as she looked up again and let the girl inside. "Thanks, better safe than sorry I thought. My name is Shadow and eh.. you probably can see I'm new." Still fidgetting with her robes, she pulled them straight and looked back at the girl, knowing from her robes she is a novice as well. "How long are you here already if I may ask and eh... when they released your power and thaught you Control, how was it? I mean... they go in your mind, no?" Apparently she was most anxious about that fact, more than anything else.

"It's not scarry. I mean they go into your mind and you have to take care about what you are thinking about so they can't see your secrets, but it's not hard", Ora smiled, "just imagine doors and put all you don't want them to see behind them".

Shadow blinked and grimaced. It did not sound all that simple to her. Doors? She had no idea what the other novice was talking about. Shaking her head, she grinned slightly. "Secrets I don't really have, at least not to anybody here. My parents, now that would be another matter of course haha. But it's just... well it sounds scary, having someone else in your head." Shrugging lightly, she looked down at her robes and took a deep breath. "But it doesn't matter..." Anyhow, I think I best let you go on with whatever you were doing before. I wouldn't want to keep you from your studies or something." Giving a weak smile, she wondered how much she herself would have to study.

"oh, don't worry about studing", Ora said, "you'll co fne about that". She went to the door and opened it. "So, I'll greet another new Novice in room 219, I think, now. If you have any question, you can ask me. I'm in room 217.Bye!'

Shadow nodded and closed the door after Ora had left. Turning to her bed, she grabbed her bag and begun unpacking. A couple of books ended up on her desk, a night gown came to lay on her pillow and some other personal items such as a brush, small diary and a small stuffed animal she had since birth were given their own places in her room. She did hide the animal in her cupboard though, under a shawl. It was a small stuffed cat which had been made by her grandmother when Shadow had been born. Taking another deep breath, she changed in her night gown and crawled in bed. It was already late and even though she had wanted to visit the Novice's Library, it had been a long day. The next morning, she rose from her bed at dawn and quickly slipped in her robes. It was still quiet in the hallways and she walked down and out of the Novice's Quarters as quietly as she could. It was chilly this early in the morning and she rubbed her arms to keep warm. Continuing, she walked to the Courtyard.

Returning from her first class of Basics, Shadow opened the door and fell on her bed. Looking up at the ceiling, she thought about what to do first. Practise the Globe Lights and warming of the air? Or perhaps best set to work on the essay right away? Or maybe better even, take a moment to let everything sink in. Suddenly, her eyes flung wide open again and she wondered how long she had been asleep. It had only been for an hour, but not knowing this, Shadow felt slightly scared she might have let slip the time she should have been practising. Standing up, she quickly brushed her robe straight again and walked over to the door, meaning to go to the Novice Library. (- gone to library -)

Shadow came back from the library, a scroll stuffed in her robe. Entering her room, she closed the door and unfolded the papers to read them over again. Well, they would have to do anyhow, it was all she could come up with. Of course, unless she would read many more books. But all of those books had been talking about things she did not know yet and it confused her more than it actually helped her. Laying the papers on her little desk, she was rather satisfied. It had taken her only the rest of the day, leaving her still one day to practise globe lights and warming the air. Looking at the oil lamp which was her current source of light, she decided to throw in at least a little practise of globe lights already. It took a a couple of tries, but finally she succeeded in creating a small but secure globe light. It did not light the whole room, but gave enough light to read by. And most important, it didn't waver and she hardly needed to think about it to keep it alight. Smiling, she nodded in satisfaction and took out a reading book, a novel.

Daniver walked up to her door. Pausing, he thought twice abouthow it would look like for a boy to knock on a girl's door. Groaning, he knocked the softest knock possible and backed away from the door.

Shadow had almost not heard the knock, too deeply gone in the novel and the knock being very soft indeed. Looking up, she wondered if she had heard correctly. Putting the book down on her bed, she walked over to the door, realizing with satisfaction that her small globe light was still firmly in place above her head. She had let it hover there in order to have the best light on her book. Turning the doorknob, she opened the door and blinked for a moment. "Daniver? Everything alright?"

In teh midst of walking off, I turned. "Erm,well, yes. Oh, actually no. Ugh. I actually wanted to ask for help for the essay but since you're busy...then nevermind." I quickly walked off to avoid further embarrassment. (sorry for the long break. school kept me busy)

Shadow blinked slowly and closed the door again in utter confusement. Turning back to her bed, she decided to just call it a night. Putting the book away, she slipped out of her novice robes and into her nightclothes. Crawling into the bed, she let the globe light disappear and fell asleep quickly. The next day she spend mostly in practice. While walking in the gardens outside, she tried to warm the air around her without having to think too much about it. And when in the evening she practiced globe lights. During the day she had visited the library once more, finding a book with further explanation about globe lights and how to let their color change. Curious as she is, Shadow could not stop herself from trying it while in her room. The day after it was again time for class and she quickly grabbed the scrolls of her essay and made her way over to the Basic Skills class. (*skip out to Basic Skills*)
