Shadow blinked, a little dumbfounded at first. Slowly, she shook her head and pointed at the window. The globe light above their heads shone a little brighter, but still gentle enough not to strain the eyes this late in the evening. "I am not leaving the Guild or anything, just the Novice Quarters. And the building of the High Lady is not that far, I can still come over here or you guys can come over there. I'm sure High Lady Lorlyn will not mind, as long as I perform well in classes. But apparently it is normal for the novice of the High Lord or High Lady to live there. And I'm sure it can only help my studies, no? So, will you help find some nice things to buy for the room there?"

"Yeah yeah, sure" ellen said dysmisivaly "but if i want to see you about some last minute homework, am i expected to trapse all the way to the high lady's residence, in my pyjama's!"

Shadow grinned, shaking her head. "Then you best ask not too late, lest the magicians see you wandering around in your pyjamas. But there are always manners. I'm sure that soon we'll be able to use mindspeak well enough and then you can just contact me. And we can then see where we meet, somewhere half way, in your room or the library."

"OR" ellen said grinning "Me and mirlya can learn to hide under the cover of darness, then scale the side of the high lady's quarter's, and also watching out for the foutian in the courtyard the whole time!"

Blinking, Shadow looked at Ellen for a moment and let herself fall backwards on the bed. Closing her eyes, she shook her head. "Maybe I best ask if there is a room on ground level, lest you two try climbing up. Or maybe one of those alleged secret passageways comes conveniently out in my room. Honestly, I think it to be best to just be honest towards the High Lady and just ask to come over, no? She IS the High Lady after all. Do you remember the tales about the former High Lord? That he knew more of what was going on than anyone could?"

"Yeah, but i'm sure the high lady would be a little angry if we started knocking unnounced at the door at 3 a.m."

(Lorlyn has a servant....)

(Eh... I think Shadow would not be all that happy if that happens every night either *grins*) Shadow blinked, lifted up her head, stared at Ellen and blinked again. Sitting up again, she rubbed her eyes and stared at the girl. "Ell... if you come knocking on the door at 3 in the morning, I think that even I might get a little angry. At least if it would not be for some disaster happening of course. But I for one need my portion of sleep every night, lest I start attracting accidents like some." Sticking out her tongue, she continued. "But if it is for study things, we can of course all get together once in a while in an evening to discuss everything. Compare notes, help each other with difficult spells and such. And for the non-study things, we can also pick out some evenings of course. We have one day off each week, right? So what about for example a sleep over the night before that day off?"

"a sleep over..." ellen said grinning "at your room i take it?"

"We can always use another room each time. I best check with the High Lady of course if we would be allowed, it is her building of course. But we can for example start in my room, the week after in your room, then Mirlya's room, etc. Of course we best buy some cookies or things each time, eh?"

"Oh, i love cookie's!" ellen siad grinning "Now, i'm going to go try somthing that you reminded me of," then ellen waved goodby to her sleepy friend, then went to her room to go find a secret passageway, try and map then out.

Lifting a hand up tiredly, Shadow pushed the door closed by magic and crawled back under the sheets, trying to catch some sleep again. The globe light in the middle of the room slowly started to diminish.

<you may need to wake your novice up, to come calm mine down :-P )

Hearing yelling in the hallway, Shadow opened her eyes and stumble out of her bed again. This time, she had not yet been on the verge of sleeping, so she quickly summoned a small globe light again and stepped into the hall. Seeing Ellen stand in the doorway of her room, yelling at someone or something, she quickly ran over to her. ((Skipper to Ellen's room - as requested :p))
