Shadow had just been going through her books, tyring to decide which ones she would have to take along today. Hearing the mental call, she nodded and then felt stupid for having nodded. It was a mental call, her guardian could not see her, so why nod? Rolling her eyes at her own idiot action, she stuffed some books in her bag along with some paper and pens and walked out again.

Opened the door to her room, closing it behind her again. She had never bothered locking the door, there was nothing in her room worth stealing or peeking into. Her most valuable possessions were a small stuffed animal and her diary, but those were only valuable in emotions and not in money. Besides those, were several books which came from the library. And that was about it in her room. So she found no point in locking her door. Dropping the book she had been holding on the little desk and walked over to the window, looking out. It was still light outside, but she had no idea on how to occupy herself. Staring outside, she thought about the upcoming Alchemy class with a quiet a little bit of nerve running through her veins. Knowing in her heart that she would not be good at being a Warrior and that by her disgust of wounds and such she would not be a good Healer either, all her hopes were fixed upon Alchemy. And as already said to her guardian, with Magically Enhanced Architecture as specialty. But as always, she was so insecure, so scared that she would not be good enough and would not succeed. With those thoughts in her mind, she just stood there, looking out over the courtyard.

Ellen and Mirlya arms linked wakled into meet some of the other novices. after some bad memories ellen wasn't as hyper as before, but she still had a smile plastered on her face "Hey!" she said "What's your name?"

Turning around, Shadow was slightly shaken out of her reveries. Blinking twice, she quickly smiled while leaning against the window sill. Not really used to talking to people, she was able though to find something to say, though not much. "Hi, I'm Shadow, one of the former batch of new novices. I believe you two were in the Acceptance Ceremony earlier today, right? How are you finding the Guild so far?"

"It's great, i love it here!" ellen said, happy again, her mind now on different memories "And i've made a friend!" ellen said, pulling on Mirlya's arm "Fancy coming around the grounds with us?"

Looking at the books on her desk, Shadow was torn between reading and going along with the two new novices. Quickly though, she had given herself a mental kick, and nodded. "Sure thing, I'd say lead the way. Of the record, what are your names?"

"I'm Mirlya! It's great to meet you, Shadow! I've always wanted to meet the High Lady's own novice! It must be a great honour to be favoured by the High Lady!" She looked at Ellen. "Where exactly do you plan on taking us Ellen?"

Nodding, she inclined her head a little. "It's nice meeting you two too. And well, when High Lady Lorlyn decided to take my guardianship upon her, she was still Administrator. That already felt like an enourmous something for a mere peasant girl like me. But when she became High Lady, I must say it was kinda a shock to me. But after all, she still is the same person, only with a new title. It does intimidate me, but I try to look past it or at least not show it." Grinning slightly, she shrugged and looked from one to the other, curious as well where the girls planned on going.

"Wait and see" ellen said, then she linked her arm under lady shadow's (off to the couryard)

Shadow got half dragged along, once in a while stumbling to keep up. These girls were quiet energetic indeed, something Shadow was not used to. But she had decided to go along and try to be a bit more social, so she'd do her best so as well. (-slip/follows to courtyard)

Opening the door to her room, she walked inside and looked around. The little globe light that had been hovering next to her floated up to the ceiling and became slightly larger, until it lighted up the whole room with a gentle and soft light. Closing the door behind her again, she stood in the middle of the little room and looked around. Talking to herself, she more or less made up the balance of her current stay. "It certainly is not a bad room and I have gotten quiet used to being here. But I'd probably have lots more opportunity to learn in the building of the High Lady. And it is not as if I have decorated this room all too much yet, nor do I receive all that much visits of the other novices here. So it can only improve, no? Okay... Ellen en Mirlya planned on visiting the Slums tomorrow anyhow, so I can just buy some new things already!" Walking over to the cupboard, she pulled out a small book and looked inside it. Taking out some paper money, she nodded and put it in a pocket of her robe. Pulling closed the curtains, she got ready for bed. "It's not as if I can buy anything I want, but for this once I have to make an exception. A new reading book or two, some extra quills and notebooks, a small plant and maybe a small pencil drawing. Yes... I only hope Lady Lorlyn will allow me to decorate the room a bit. If not, I'm bound to have a problem if I buy them already. Hmm... I'll just ask her when I go inform her tomorrow morning." Yawning, she got into bed and let the globe light grown smaller and smaller.

ellen knocked at the door "shadow?"

Not yet fully asleep, Shadow blinked a couple of times and turned her head to the door. Though not sure if the sound had been real or a figment of her sleep, she sat up on the bed. Only after hearing Ellen's voice, she grabbed the spare blanket and draped it around her shoulders to keep warm. While more or less walking to the door, she summoned a small globe light with a warm glowing color so as not to strain the eyes. Opening the door slightly, she looked out and then opened it fully. As she had been on the verge of sleep, her voice was a bit drowsy sounding and she had to blink a couple of times against the light in the hallway. "Ellen? Is something the matter?"

"No, sorry, we're you sleeping?" ellen shuffeled nervously, she hadn't meant to wake shadow up. oop's.

Shadow shrugged slightly, but stepped away from the door if Ellen wanted to come inside. The globe light hovered over to the middle of the room, where it started to glow a little larger and brighter, though still with a gentle light. Scratching the back of her neck, Shadow went over to her bed and sat down on the edge, looking back at Ellen. "On the verge of sleeping, though not yet fully asleep. But that's okay. How is your wrist by the way?"
