I agree with Ora. Some people are born with certain talents and other people are born with others. It's the same with the immortals. They all have different gifts.
For example Mirar's gift is healing to an amazing level and Emerahl's is changing her appearance. Auraya can't change her appearance or heal to the extent of Mirar.

I understand that the immortals have certain ‘innate’ talents, what I’m saying is that when they become gods they develop all other talents. If two people are completely equal in strength, ability and power, they must be equally good and every skill.
Lady Nimira- 12-07-2007
I don't think so.......they didn't act like they were all equal.
Arya- 12-07-2007
But Huan says that to Chaia, that they're equal in strength etc. In the last book.
Lady Nimira- 12-07-2007
Yeah but is it true? Huan was a bit caniving so it's posible she was lying.
Arya- 12-07-2007
I think it's true - if it wasn't, Chaia would have done something to stop her, or the other way round. They hated each other, so if one was stronger they would have made it known.

I thought it was one of the secrets though that all gods are equal in strength. Immortal aren't I don't think but gods are.
Lorlyn- 12-08-2007
their immortal in the sense that they live a long time but not in the sense that they live forever. otherwise they wouldn't be able to be killed

Exactly my point!! Which means that, although immortals aren't equal in strength/Skills, when they become Gods new skills must suddenly manifest.
Lady Tya- 12-08-2007
I agree, but I think the skills don't just manifest, the gods just realize how they could use their magical powers to the highest potential.
Arya- 12-08-2007
Essentially it's the same thing - skills the immortals did not have when immortal (due to lack of ability or just understanding), they now possess when a God.
Lady Tya- 12-09-2007
I guess. but without a body gods would have no need of the skills themselves, but until they are gods might not have the power to bestow gifts.
Wait, does becoming a god or an immortal actually make you stronger or does it just seem that way? What basically I'm asking is: is a god stronger than an immortal because they are a god, or if they were human or immortal, or whatever, would they still be stronger?
Does that make any sense at all?
Odessa- 12-09-2007
I think Gods are stronger.
Maybe they are immortals, then grow so pwerful they rise to become Gods?
Then.. No it doesnt make sense that way...

Then.. No it doesnt make sense that way...Gods does become immortals before they become gods. It was described in VOTG.....
Ok, I think gods are stronger (I mean, we need six immortal people to kill one), but immortals are more human (does that make sense???!!!)
Well, anyway, immortals can not die unless they are killed or fell from high mountine or..... I don't know. Let's just say they do not get older. Is that it?

Being a God makes you stronger. Remember Huan quite easily overcame Auraya, but Auraya's initiative saved her (in VOTG).
