Nodding slowly, Shadow slowly increased the size of the shield-globe. She had to do this step by step though, first focus on growing the shield a little bit, then to heat the air again. Every time she made the shield-globe larger - just a centimeter each time - the air inside the globe started to cool down a little. So each time, she had to push the temperature inside up again.

"good just a little bit bigger then I want you to focus on keeping the temp to remain at the same temperature without going up or down"

Concentrating, she bit the tip of her tongue once again, apparently a nervous tic. Slowly, very slowly, she extended the size just a little more. When she thought it would be big enough for her guardian, she let her concentration lock on the air inside the shield-bubble again. The temperature had dropped a little bit again, so she first heated it and then split her concentration evenly between keeping the edge of the bubble as a shield and the temperature as good as continuous. Swallowing, she had to blink a couple of times, not yet having excercised this much and she felt her physical energy lowering, tiring slowly while pouring more and more magical energy into her creation.

Lorlyn watched as shadow expanded her shield and focused on keeping the shield in place and balancing out the temp. "Good. I think that's enough for today. I want you to keep working on it and use that excuse to practice it. Once you've got it at one size I want you to make your bubble bigger until you can shield yourself and warm the air around you." Lorlyn paused for a moment when she heard a mental call. "Akala is holding a basic healing lesson in one of the healing rooms. You don't have to go but it would be good for you to get to know more about healing before you decide against it."

Upon hearing the words 'enough for today', the bubble popped with a slight shimmer of light, like an extinguishing candle and Shadow slumped backwards in the chair. Blinking, she realized that the shimmer of light was truly the candle which had in fact gone out. Hearing about the basic healing lesson, she sat up again. "I thought we were supposed to finish our Basic Skills classes first, before we could go to other classes? I'm not sure, but I didn't think our Basic Skills classes were finished yet. Or is Basic Healing a part of it?"

"yes basic healing is considered part of basic skills but after you've done enough basic skills you can start to branch out to other displines."

Nodding, Shadow quickly stiffled a yawn and raised from the seat. Pulling her robes straight again, she dusted of some imaginary specks and moved towards the door. "I shall go then and follow the Basic Healing class. Do you wish for me to return afterwards to practise some more or do I come back later to show my progress?"

"not today. You've used enough of your magic. if your not up to much more you let akala know so that he doesn't ask as much from you. Come by tomorrow. I'll teach you some other stuff."

"Thank you. I shall see you tomorrow then, High Lady Lorlyn." Bowing, she turned the doorhandle and opened the door, slipping outside and onto the path back towards the main buildings. (Exit to Healing Room)

"your welcome" said lorlyn. When shadow and left lorlyn looked around the room still not used to the new surroundings. 'maybe I'll move some furture around' thought lorlyn. Lorlyn sighed, not wanting to move the furiture around today and decided to read a book instead. Lorlyn walked upstairs grabbed her book and walked back downstairs and started reading the book.

There was a soft knock on the door, and SE peered in. "Hello my Lady. I'm done with my work for the day and wondered whether you'd like some company?" SE motioned somewhere behind her, and her personal servant Lenya entered with a jug of steaming tea. "My friend in Vin sent special tea leaves to me, and it's too much to drink on my own..." SE hinted hopefully.

"come in, come in. oh I love tea. You said from Vin? they have the best tea"

"They certainly do," SE agreed and took a seat opposite Lorlyn. Her servant followed and poured them a cup each, bowed, and left. SE took a sip as the rich smell diffused into the room. "So how've things been?"

"Things have been going good. I'm still getting used to being high lady. I'm so used to my days being so busy with work and suddenly I don't have any work to worry about. It's still a bit strange but I'll get used to it"

"You did a great job my Lady, but it also must've been pretty tiring. At least now you can kick back and relax a little. Although..." SE smiled in sympathy, "I'm guessing the Houses will now bug you with marriage proposals from their eldest sons..."
