How could I not? :) I love being able to talk to people about books I've just read. It frustrates me that not enough of my friends around here read as much fantasy as I do... and they certainly don't go looking for it like I do either!!

well I'm glad you have found us here. :) and if you get the next books first you can tell us all about it or at least how good it was and save the spoiler stuff for when we get a chance to catch up :)

I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for them!!

I know what you mean. I hate reading a good (or sometimes REALLY bad) book and having no one to talk about it to.
lyylovebooks- 02-07-2008
oh yeah. i was totally delighted when my friend told me she loved HP as much as me. Hopefully i'll get her going on BMT too. haha.
Lorlyn- 02-07-2008
haha and then you can get her to join here to :) :-P

none of my friends are book lovers like i am. i have a couple of friends who read similar books but none are fans of fantasy and i cant discuss much with them. so frustrating!

I was really surprised when i wound out that somebody i work with is reading the High Lord at the moment. My work was the last place i had ever expected to find somebody who loves the books as i do. It`s really cool, we talk about nothing else and nobody around us knows, what we are talking about :)
Lorlyn- 03-06-2008
haha that's great. there is no one at my work who reads the books let alone people I know. Very few people I know enjoy reading or read at all.
LittleRaven- 03-06-2008
True. It's so sad.

I don't know anyone from my surrounding except me who read it.... So, guys, you are the only people I can talk about it......Thank you :-D
Lorlyn- 03-06-2008
ya you guys are the only people I know who I can talk to about these books and luckily about a few other authors to. It's great. Online does wonders for those of us who don't know anyone who reads.

I know an awful lot of people who read but only two of them read Fantasy. (Luckily I'm married to one of them).
In fact, I am on a crusade for spreading the "news" of Fantasy for grownups.
On this board although I enjoy it immensely, there aren't hardly any adults who share my passion for Fantasy. And that is such a shame. In my country people tend to think it is only for kids and disregards the genre entirely.
So folks - don't stop reading Fantasy when you turn 30, promise me that.
Ora- 03-07-2008
I promise !

I have also recognised that even the bookshops often consider Fantasy as something for children only. When the BMT was publised in German it was first put to Bestsellers and a few moth later they putted it in the childrens corner. I don`t know why they do it but it`s done with almost a fantasy books. I am used to searchig books in the childrens corner by now.
