Yes she did that - evil and hilarious as she is. Made me laugh out loud when I read that in her blog and at the same time I felt a little bit of wry disappointment. But of course she is not going to revive Akkarin. :-)

Don't give the fan fic writers any ideas, J :P

Lady Tya- 01-15-2008

I don't think she needs to they have them already.

lyylovebooks- 01-16-2008

Zombies! lol. looks like he's not coming back then.

j_mercuryuk- 01-16-2008

To be honest I'm glad.

LittleRaven- 01-17-2008

I don't think she needs to they have them already. So many of the fics in the category on Fanfiction.Net are fix-it fics. For a moment, I thought of the last one as a sort of parody of this trend. The use of CPR on a person with a stab wound right through the chest seemed to mock the other illogical ways he was being revived in during the other stories. Sadly, looking at the author's notes and the genres listed, I don't think it was one.

Lady Tya- 01-18-2008

I suppose most poeple have their own why of thinking he could have been saved (even if thye don't think it would happen). Some of the 'fix-it' gics on fanfiction are good, others have too many flaws and too much illogic for my liking.

j_mercuryuk- 01-21-2008

If i did a fix-it fic, then I'd have to go back and do an AU fic and completely change what happens. Which i am thinking of doing, but not in order to do a fix it fic. I've been thinking of doind another 'what if' fic, which may turn out with Akkarin alive as it would mean the whole second half of the book, and alot of the first half actaully, would have to change.

LittleRaven- 01-23-2008

Fix-it fics, by their nature, tend to be too neat and happy. It's not "let's see what happens if", it's "this no longer happens, so rejoice!". So they're not very satisfying. But a what-if fic, changing more than just the end, can be more interesting.

totally in love with high lord!! where all the excitement begins!

Kasloumor- 01-23-2008

Absolutely agree

Ora- 01-23-2008

Me too. Although, tN and tMG are good books, too....

Lady Tya- 01-24-2008

Yes but there's something so complete about tHL, I love the others but not as obsessively and totally.

j_mercuryuk- 01-25-2008

I like them pretty much all the same, but i like didn't things about the different books.

lyylovebooks- 01-26-2008
