Probably, but I'd think it's an over-simplification to say that there aren't varying degrees of love. Their relationship seems to be centred on sexual lust rather than any really serious love for eachother. Perhaps in time it will grow into real true unflinching and unyielding love.

How could it when they see each other so briefly though?

time obviously means nothing to them

Love can develop more with being apart... u appreciate what u have when its gone and all..
I think Akkarins right it was based on sexual lust as such i didn't think they were in love yet... But they are both young and so we will see what happens
*Tennage kicks on the radio how fitting!*

As their relationship is mainly of a sexual nature, they would not need great amounts of time. After all, Cery establishes she's beautiful on the second meeting, and that she is a woman who knows how to use her looks to get what she wants... perhaps she's just toying with him. I don't think so, but she could be. Either way, their relationship is not very deep, a sort of "friends with benefits" at least initially. Cery makes a comment alluding to that I do believe (in his own thoughts)... something about no strings attached...

umm nice way of putting it "friends with benifits"....
Zurina- 02-24-2006
I think to start with she would have been toying with him, but grew to feel fondly for him.
-Savara-- 02-24-2006
Yes... they both did it for the no strings.. and cery did think about it but he was also upset and she didn't want to leave too... she didn't expect her feelings to grow and she saved him from the sachakans which she didn't have to did she..! He wasn't vital to the plot then...
Zurina- 02-24-2006
hmm, thats a point, i thought i was weird how the Ichani reacted to her. But i think he was vital to the plot. But im his fan, so i would think that lol

After scimming through the books to write the test for healing, i realised how much Ceryni actually does for Sonea, i mean, he even kills for her!
j_mercuryuk- 11-01-2006
Yeah, he does do alot for her. I mean he practicely looks after her for the first half of the book.
ebony- 11-02-2006
id say even mayby over half, he really did love her.
j_mercuryuk- 11-02-2006
Well she's in the guild for the second half of the book.
Alira- 11-02-2006
But he risks being cought and even being killed (from his point of view) just to know that she´s alright when he visits her in the guild. He must have been loving her.
