No- I didn't find it revolting either. I jus- never saw a spark between the two. they were better as friends. (I also like how, in each of the books, Sonea's ambitions for life and love are raised. In book numero uno, she's all for marrying a friend, someone she trusts. In two she accepts Dorrien, even thoiugh she's not sure how she feels about him- but it's more than friendship. And in three, she's holding out for the real deal, all-consuming love. I agree that after she arrived at the Guild and experianced so much more- well, this sounds mean, but what she would ahve had with Cery wouldn't have been enough any more.)

A nice observation there, and interesting. I think also, by the 3rd book, Ceryni is firmly in the friend catergory. Also, as he says, she could never really belong in his world.

Noe, I'd say these days she'd be pretty pissed off if he tried to force her into hiding under Bol houses, using her magic as little as possible. I know I would be.

As much as i love Ceryni, I found that when i was reading THL i was impatient and wanted to skip through the scenes with Cery and Savara in it to get to the scenes with Sonea. I don't know why. Maybe because i just didn't find them as interesting as other characters.

It happens, when you find one story line more interesting then the others.

Yeah, I was thinking "Just kiss the damn woman, I want more of Akkarin and Sonea!!" :!: Not that I disliked Cery it's just I found other things more important.

I think ceryni's dad was dead. I don't recall though. I think his mom was alive but I don't remember much beyond that.

Yeah, the Thieves killed Cery's dad when they "found out he was cheating on them."

I think Cery's mum was also dead. She was a prostitute in the slums and I think she died.

i don't think so, it says that ccerys family died, not his child, family implies wife and kids, so unless sarava would move to kryalia then i think it would be someone different...

Good, I hope so. She could have moved there though. Maybe they got married and had children... Then I'd have to burn the sequels. Lol.
