i seem to have a different view to everybody else. i've always pictured the cavern as more futuristic and like a smooth white/silver dome, kinda like cererbro in the xmen films lol

Well, I'm not sure how I imagined it. But, yes, I would draw it darker....

Ah but doesn't it start to glow when "activated" or perhaps I remember it incorrectly?

I don't know but that would be a good thing to find out.

It does glow when activated-- but I'm not sure how bright the light from it is.

I suppose it would depend on how you draw it. If you draw it from a characters point of view it might seem brighter then it is because of the previous darkness but if your looking in from outside it might not seem as bright.

i dunno if its mentioned sumwher else here but in the High Lord, or my copy at least, Trudi always calls it the Cavern of Ultimate Justice, sometimes the Chamber, too

that's interesting. I don't recall if mine had that. I know it had Cavern of Ultimate Punishment for sure but I'm not sure if she ever referred to it as anything else. Did Dannyl and Tayend ever discuss what they thought the cavern was for in the books?

erm if i remember correctly they did make some guesses and thought it was for punishing black magaicians - i think. i do remember that the glittering walls in the cavern were because of all the store stones or store gems, though

I think the cavern was made using black magic. I'm not sure it was made specifically for dealing with them. They store gems and stones you mentioned are things made using black magic.

I wonder if we'll hear more about in in the prequel or even the sequels since both feature more black magic. If the Cavern of Ultimate punishment was made to deal with black magicians then I think we might see more of it and if we do see more of it then the side story of Dannyl has another point other then adding more story and pages to the book.

It would give justification to Dannyl and Tayends story except her needing to fill out the book, would be interesting too for Dannyls story to have a more significant reason for being there too. In the prequel especially it will be interesting if featured as magicians will still be using black magic right?
