Finally artists and publishers with sense

Kasloumor- 09-14-2007

They are not Swedish covers but Danish covers (Being a Dane I have to point that out ;-)) And yes apparently they feel that there is enough material for 2 books to be made from book 1. I fear that they have perceived the trilogy as a children's fantasy and translated it for younger readers. Sucks, wish they would have asked me to translate them :-) Also the titel bugs me as I love the original titles. On these versions book 1 is called The Black Magicians and book 2 is called Fergun's Revenge. But the covers are at least alright.

Lady Nimira- 09-14-2007

How could they perceive it as a childrens fantasy? They'll soon find out they're wrong. Yeah Kas you should have translated them. Get on to them and translate The Novice and The High Lord. :wOOt:

LittleRaven- 09-14-2007

That reminds me of what they did with Robert Jordan's second Wheel of Time book. I didn't know at the time, though.

Lady Nimira- 09-14-2007

Sorry you've lost me LR. I haven't read that book.

j_mercuryuk- 09-14-2007

Well, at least the covers are good.

Lady Nimira- 09-15-2007

I've just noticed something after a look at THL cover (annonymouse robe wearer set) the robes aren't actually black they're a dark purple. The artist has actually depicted the three disciplines of the guild.

Lorlyn- 09-15-2007

it looks a bit reddish if you ask me. like inbetween purple an red. the edges are red for sure. at least the one with the magician and cery. the other one is a bit hard to tell. their more blackish and not really tinted in red, green or purple but the three magician's themselves could reperest the three displines. (3 magician's for 3 displines)

I've just noticed something after a look at THL cover (annonymouse robe wearer set) the robes aren't actually black they're a dark purple. The artist has actually depicted the three disciplines of the guild. I think it is purple. On tMG is black...

Lady Nimira- 09-17-2007

I can't tell with TMG it's very dark. It could be any colour really.

j_mercuryuk- 09-17-2007

I believe they're the darker colour's of the title colour.

Ora- 09-18-2007

Well, maybe. But, it is dark. I think on tN is green and on tHL is very dark purple....

skysari- 09-19-2007

I think they're for part one and part two. So below Sonea i think is Lord Fergun and Cery. but one thing is strange diddent the abduction of cery happen in the first book ? the picture of sonea on the top is fom book 3 you all know wich part it is.

Lady Nimira- 09-19-2007

Yeah they split the first book into two and Cery got abducted in the second part of the first book. I think the first one is the incident with the rock.

The-Pepsi-Man- 01-01-2008

I bought mine in Europe(ireland) the white cover ones wihth sonea on the cover in robes. I didnt even know there were different ones for a long time. I like the ones I bought the best though.
