BMT translated in dutch with new covers!
I was just looking online for new books to read an came across the dutch version of BMT curius what you think of the covers the last 2 couldent find the large version >

Eh I hope I'm not supposed to step up for my Flemish/Dutch language thingy, but I don't like the covers. I can't see the two others well, but that is definately not how I see Sonea in my mind and indeed, who are those creepy guys? Should they represent Ichani? Cus I don't think of the Ichani as old-old either. I'd say, just keep with the regular covers of the incognito robed figures. Books are there to let your imagination soar, giving an almost realistic picture is never a good idea...

I think one of them's Lorlen. The one with the red eye but it doesn't make sense. They're not old!

But the American covers don't make any sense either - Isn't strange that the publishers don't even bother to make the cover artists produce actual scenes/charaters from the books. They rarely do.

Maybe but i think it's more up to the artist. They should read the books otherwise you get the nonsense covers. It really iritates me. If i did the art i'd make sure i'd read the book just so i could do it justice.

or the publishers you tell the artists something about the books. maybe not make them read it but give them enough (perhaps give them a scene or two to read?) to get idea that would relate to the book.

Yeah that's probably better. I now make this appeal... Cover artists around the world do us all a favour and make covers that actually relate to the book. Thankyou.

Woah LS calm down. Obviously this cover artist was a bit gone in the head at the time of being hired. It's possible he was drooling and laughing evilly as he drew this. Moon=Akkarin *Screams and runs off sobbing*

Holy That's the worst immpresion of a charater i've ever seen. I know why it's a moon,because isn't the sign for black magic a Moon and a hand.i think? Why are they so old? :sorcerer: :rip: Lol
