it seems like some of them they think about and others they slap on a random cover

I think Trudi talks about how they choose the covers in one of her blog entries....

i think that one of the covers for the last of the wilds is pretty wrong, cause it shows miriar, holding a sword, even though dreamweavers don't use violence

I remeber Trudi commenting on it saying she acceted it because it's a sign of manliness.

still, i don't think she should have let that happen, or the dude with the moon on his head...

ya who knows what trudi was thinking on that one.

She doesn't get that much freedom. She gets alot more freedom then most authors do, the editors get the final say in these kind of matters, because they are there to sell a book.

i think that would suck about being an author, if you think that somthings going wrong with your book covers though you can't do anything

probably... though the LOTW was pretty good

I think the best book covers are the ones with scenery on it or with people in the background. No bad pictures to spoil it! :D

I am sorry I haven't read this before. I must say sitting here after midnight, tired and having a BAD cold and reading this actually made my mood a lot better. I agree with you all and especially those who said the first cover kinda su...d, Lorlen creeeeepppyyyy, and Sonea NO don't think so, and my love Akkarin I am so sad to see you pictured like that if that is really suppose to be you....Not pictured like that in my mind. If there is a winged horse on the american one, hmm I must say the ones that I have with the anonomous magician are the best..... Lady Nirakka is trying to forget that horrible image of that hideous :sick: MG cover from her mind :banghead:
