determed to try firstly the fear of the stranger controling him secondaly to inpress the high lady and thirdly for lances ambition after many failed attempts lance managed todo itbut he would need to practise it alot

Takan smiled at Thernia 'I'll be OK.' He got up and walked towards the door, stumbling slightly when he reached the door. Seeing the Healer's worried expression, he smiled. 'I'll be fine, honest.' He left the room, Thernia following close behind.

"good. now do you think you can do it strong enough to keep the stranger out of your mind. Think of it as a mental block or a wall. That might help to"

'thank you' replied lance

"alright, then if you think you've blocked him enough. tell us as much that happened since before you appeared in this room. what kind of things was he saying to you, or she, and why do you think she or he chose you?" asked Lorlyn looking back at the stranger who looked like he was starting to come to. He was still out but he looked like he wouldn't be out for to much longer.

lance took in a big breath 'well he told me that he had been watching me and my fallow novices for a long while before came to the guild he told me that i could join his order and he could make me a more powerful than i could inmagen but first i had to free someone he said that the guild had takan prisioner' pausing for a second lance continued 'than he said that this prisioner was going to betray his order so i had to kill him i tried to refuse but i don't no its like he control me somehow i came here than well you know he toldme that alot his people were in the city and that he was coming here to cleasned the guild what he could a bunch of magic fools' lance paused again this time he's eyes were wet with tears 'he told me that one of my friends from the slums had joinned him and that she was coming here too' rage shot through lance 'if he get her to do anything i kill him whoever he is'

"it's interesting that he chose a novice. Novices aren't as skilled as a fully trained magician so can't resist as well as a fully trained magician could. So it makes me wonder how strong or weak he is if he's using a novice instead of a magician. A magician might suggest that he's strong. But a novice could suggest he's weak or just using someone who can be influenced easily" said lorlyn and quickely added something else at Lance's look. "but don't worry. Your can't be no more influenced then the other novices. I doubt any of them have learned to shield thier minds either and now your a step ahead. If you still hear that voice now that you've learned to shield your mind. you come to me or any other magician and have them inform me. This stranger seems like a danger to the entire guild. better we know then not know."

Following takan out of the door Thernia sent a mental call otu to Lorly to say they were on there way. When they got to the magicians quaters THernia nodded at Borne and carried on in until they got to Lorlyn. "High Lady heres the servant to speak with the prisoner and to tell you what he knows?"

"come in" called Lorlyn. she glanced up at Borne, Thernia and Taken. "Well it's starting to get tight in here with 8 people. For now have the servant sit down. the stranger isn't awake yet. what's your name again young man?"asked Lorlyn.

Takan smiled nervously. They all should know this, this information would hopefully give them more information about the stranger and possibly who Thania's murderer was. But still, he had learnt magic outside the Guild. That was illegal. He could be executed for saying this. It was a big risk - but one he had to take. 'My name is Takan.' he said finally.

"Welcome Taken. What is it you wanted to tell me" asked Lorlyn. (ok Borne)

'I was approached some time by a stranger, who said they could teach me magic without me having to go to the Guild. I have magic potential, you see - but I didn't want to come here because of how much the Guild hates Sachakans now. I agreed to help him. But he took me prisoner and and taught me black magic - I didn't want to know, but he taken control of me. He then sent me out into the city to kill people, to drain them of energy. He took all the energy afterwards.' Takan shook his head sadly. 'I tried to make myself stop, but I couldn't because I wasn't in control anymore. I realised the only way I was going to get out of this mess, was to die or be killed by someone else.' 'I had one friend, Knarin, he said I could escape if I faked my own death. So we he took nearly all of my energy and left me. When I woke up, Knarin told me that they believed it. I was a free man again. So I ran away and started my life again. Got a job as a servant thanks to Lady Thania who saw me and took pity on me.' 'Then recently we saw the prisoner fighting. He recognised me and came after me. When he saw I was with Thania, a magician, they must have thought I would tell the Guild, so the leader decided to kill us both. But he got to Thania first.' Takan closed his eyes. 'The only evil one in this situation is the leader. He controls everyone's actions. He is also EXTREMELY powerful. If the man you found earlier was the leader - I doubt you would all still be here. Which is why I think that this is one of the others he took prisoner. Maybe even my friend Knarin.'

a teenaged girl walked through the city slums her big blues eyes stared straght ahead her curly blond hair blow in the wind her dirty and riped dress swung in the breeze. suddenly the girl stopped as powervoiceboomedin hermind 'servant kara meet me in the inner circle the other servants will be there its seams that tour old friend lance and my servant knarin both failed to complete there mission i will begin the draining ritual soon its time i took matters in my own hands' nodding to herself kararun down the street to the inner circle
