The longest marathon i had was matrix. i didn“t regret it, like that i was too tired too realize how bad the 3rd part really was.

I apoligise in advance for the random, shouted post that will follow.
THEY HAD BETTER NOT MAKE THESE BOOKS INTO MOVIES OR ELSE I SHALL HAVE TO DESTROY THEM!!! DEESSTTRROOYY!!!!!!!!!!!
Thankyou for your time.

You don't think the movies could be good?
Gecko Face Eater- 11-15-2006
Hmm. I guess the monies COULD be good, but generally, I don't like it when a really good book is made into a movie. Often, they can be spoiled completely, and also, it is more personal as a book. A film is only one persons interpretation of it. Plus, I have formed the characters and places in my head. I second of the movie could spoil that.
j_mercuryuk- 11-15-2006
Movies don't tend to spoil them for me. I may take on an image but as I read more it gets distorted into my own image again. If there were films made I'd want Trudi to be ver involed...but I@m still rooting for TV series over films.

If it was a TV series, they'd have to make up a lot of storylines. Probably bad ones
Shadowed Empress- 11-16-2006
Let's hope that they'll never make a TV series of it, then... :?
I, too, don't mind movies too much, because I set it apart from my own original interpretation of the books. The movies I try to view as a visual version to enjoy and debate, yet not take too seriously as the concrete projection of the books, because they never are.

Why? Since when? 6, 45minutes episodes would cover it fine.
Shadowed Empress- 11-17-2006
I still rather have movies though; it would be interesting to see all the promotional posters/trailers etc, AND they'd have a wider selection of actors to choose from. Perhaps not all the actors we mentioned would accept to star in a TV series.
j_mercuryuk- 11-17-2006
no, but many also wouldn't in the kind of film BMT would be. I highly doubt that it would become a high budget film.
>I.n.d.r.i.a.<- 11-17-2006
Or TV series. I wouldnt mind either, but I'd rather a film instead. A series would be cool, too. I can picture a Regin/Sonea prank moment!
j_mercuryuk- 11-19-2006
Some TV series have a very decent buget. Enough to do everything they need to do.
Lady Vinara- 12-03-2006
I don't fancy a TV series.
But a mini-series lets say like e.g. Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy would do it - or 3 movies.
But PLEASE, please, please NO anime -.-
Animated? Yes - but no anime. It's just so - I don't exactly know how to describe it - but fluffy, exxagerated and over-excited...
Stick to the grown-up style the books provide!
I think it should be done like in the Harry Potter movies where J.K.Rowling did reserve the rights to have the final say on the actors and scenery.
That doesn't grant a good movie but it helps on preserving the origninal charakter of the books the way they were meant to be...

uh and I forgot:
where can I see those drawings of Trudi you mentioned some time ago in this thread? didn't find them yet
