Oh no, not an Anime, Akkarin wouldn't look good in an anime why not? you should not do it in shojo style.. but something like juuni kokki would be nice :) ( see -> http://www.12kingdoms.us/ ) Someone who likes Twelve Kingdoms! I used that example earlier. Maybe it'd be better off as a TV series or an animé. I mean, I don't see that the BMT would be made into three different movies, because it doesn't seem like the type of thing someone would spend lots of money on. So if it were made that way, it'd probably be low-budget. Which would mean bad special effects. If it were one movie, they'd have to drop a lot or combine the self-contained plots of the first two books into one; which, actually, would still mean they'd have to drop a lot. But a TV series and an animé would have longer arcs, with more flexibility for self-contained plots with growing connections added per episode. In LotR, they dropped the plots with little relation to the main storyline.

I looked at photos of Stuart Townsend and I've never seen him in anything before but he's got the right looks for Akkarin!

if they did anime I'd want everyone of the artists to read the books before drawing :)

dont really fancy BMT in anime, but yeah i sure would want the artists to read it first too.

I don't mind any longer WHAT they do... if only they WOULD DO something... TV-Series, films, trilogies... I don't mind... as for Narnia - the film was boring, covered only half the plot and let out the first book... didn't like it, didn't like it at all...

If it was made into an anime, it would have be more shonen, so no big trade mark eyes. The magic and so forth would also be pulled off far better in anime then live action. Finally, someone agrees on the TV aspect with me. TV series would allow them to develop the plot fully and make us attracted to the characters.

Someone who likes Twelve Kingdoms! I used that example earlier. Juuni Kokki kicks a$$! I LOVE IT! That would be my fear about movies as well. Btw. I know you all love Tayend and Dannly (well most of you I guess) but wouldn't it be a problem to have a gay couple in a real film? - think of all the fuss that was made about brokeback mountain (never saw it though). Especially if an american studio (please us-citicens on this board, take no offence!) would get the rights. I think they would be too prude to include them (a nice plot you can cut out to make the film shorter) Anime studios usually don't have those scruples.

j_mercuryuk- 02-05-2007

Dannyl's plot line would diffinetly be cut out, as would Savara.

Alira- 02-05-2007

Ya, they have very few to do with the plot, the Dannyl/Tayend part was only in the books to make TN longer, so no producer would care about putting it into the movie anyway.

j_mercuryuk- 02-05-2007

...it's possible they might just cut out Dannyl all together if they made a film.

Trin- 02-05-2007

I think it likely they'd cut them.

Lorlyn- 02-05-2007

but wasn't dannyl key to finding sonea? if they did that they would ruin it. why would they leave out savara? I see about removing the sex parts but why all together.

j_mercuryuk- 02-05-2007

Dannyl's part can easily be replaced with another character doing it, while cutting down on time. Savara has no importance to the plot, not really. She doesn't really do anything apart from provide a love interest for Cery, ergo there's no point in the films makers having her in (in thier thinking.)

Trin- 02-05-2007

Why replace Dannyl? They can introduce him and then send him off to be an ambassador. Savara could be essencial to the sequels.. so... I think they'd wait for the sequels to come out before making a film of it (if they ever do)
