BMT movies continued...
If I@m happy with the film image I@m given then I'll Keep it, if not then I'll stick to my own image.

I think I would go and watch a TBM-movie. Of course I would be disappointed as the character would never be as I imagined them. But my curiosity would get the better of me and pull me to the cinema. Of course it CAN work out. I mean, I was a little disappointed with Lord of the Rings too, but in general thought it very well done. But I'm pretty sure that Dannyl and Rothen for example won't look like I imagine them, let alone Akkarin...

I've always maintained that I won't watch a movie of BMT, just like I won't watch a movie of His Dark Materials. I know it might seem silly, but the images, characters, the whole feeling in my head, would be ruined by the screenwriters/directors and the actors. I can't do it.

I feel like I'd have to do it, but that's true, the way it is in the film normally ruins my opinion on the book.

The books are always better than the movies, eg. the harry potter movies were definately not as good as the books. But if a movie comes out based on a book i've read and liked, i have to watch it. It doesnt change my opinion of the book.

Ok, I hate to say this, as the convo is in full flow and all, but we do actually have a thread for 'BMT moives' in the Trudi section.

We do, i'll split the topic and put it there. (I STARTED A NEW ONE AS THE OTHER ONE WAS A LIL LENGTHY AND NEW VIEWS CAN HAVE A NEW THREAD)

So, they are really going to make a movie? Or, am I wrong?

Pitty. I just hoped....Well, never mind. I would like to see how they will make it one day...

I think it would make a great movie series but would never be as good as the books. Movies never is, but good for their own reasons like the little stuff they add can be funny sometimes to.

I would have to go and see the film just to see what they do to it. The only problem is i'll end up complaining about bits that they missed out when i think they should of been included like Harry Potter 5 film they just missed do much out.

You have to let go, relax and take the film for what it is in itself. It may miss out alot from the books but it cn still be a great film. Again, don't want alot missed out the better bet is wanting a TV series.

i think id preffer it as a three films rather than a series. i wouldnt want it to be anime either.
