They'd completely cut out Dannyl from the N and tHL. He just has no importance to the plots and they can save time and money by keeping him out. To be honest, if we're going to be realistic, I think they might just go the whole nine yards and cut him out of the triology completely and give his tMG parts to someone else, maybe rothen. However that might not happen. It's not always about the essence who they want to keep in, but rather the fact hey can't have everything in.

That doesn't sound like a horrible thing. I mean, I like having as much of the books as possible in the adaptations, but I won't complain and criticize for everything that is ever cut out, and I fail to see any good reason for doing so anyway. Some things just work better in a book than in a movie when you look at the big picture.

Yes, that's very true, what makes a good book doesn't nessicarliy make a good movie, it's sometimes hard to make people understand this. e.g long internal monolgues work in books, but not in films...cause you can't really hear what they think.

I agree with that. I've noticed that half the things that work in books wouldn't work in films. I mean how would they do the mind communication if you can't hear it? Just have them stare blankly into space?

No, that is a problem isn't it. Of course in some movies you hear the thoughts of the character spoken while pictures (mainly of landscapes) are being shown. But too much gets tedious.

I think the recreation of the senses would be a headache to work on. As for the echoey voices thing that might work or a whisper just at the edge of hearing, almost like it's not there?

It could go either way, they could make it good or bad. And I'd reserve judgment till it's actually done

It's not just how the voices are done because that is important but how we're seeing the characters while they're doing it. If we hear their voices while we see landscape then it seems like they're telling us a story and not talking to each other. but if they switch between characters then it would work. I think how they did it in lord of the rings was good. It's not quite like in BMT but it's similar since Gladerial (don't mind the bad spelling. I'm to lazy to look it up) could read minds and hear their thoughts.

I can't remember that bit :-? Been to long since i watched the first one. I do know that in the second one Arwen and Aragorn do something akin to a dream link. I think switching from character to character would work but it may get confusing. Maybe a like ghost of the person they're talking to could hover near them and speak that way, then fade when the connection is done?

(in the second it wasn't a dream link but memories. It's explained when you in the extended versions when they talk about the second movie in the extras.) I think a ghost of an image might work

(that's okay that's why I mentioned that fact. I thought it was a mind to mind thing before I saw it. but elrond and Galadriel did the mind to mind communication I think in the 2nd movie to when Galadriel is trying to convince elrond to seen some warriors to help Rohan)
