I think I can keep mentioning him all over here, so that we won't forget him  as I/we ever could ) Oh I think we wiill never forget him, don't we? Okay, I thought something like this. Then I will try Last of the Wilds as soon as I've read The high lord again. Thanks you for your recommendation. I don't think that BMT is only for the younger audience.

I did find that AoF was slower to begin with, but I couldn't put Voice of the Gods down once I got into it. Priestess of the White was admittedly a little slow - everything just seemed to conform too well - Auraya was the perfect, obedient White to the Gods, didn't question their work or anything, no real scandals (except Leiard) but the next two begin to be a bit different

I don't think that BMT is only for the younger audience Me neither :D :D :P It's like with Harry Potter and His Dark Material. But as far as the first 150-200 pages in AoF I think that they might not be for as broad an agegroup as BMT. Maybe a little heavy for the youngest. Not that I know which agegroup she had in mind when she wrote them. BMT is for sure no childrens books I would say.

Lorlyn- 06-25-2008

especially not when you consider the content in the 3rd book in BMT

Ok so I finished PotW and I must say after read bout 1/3 of it I actually found it to be very good. In the beginning I found it a little confusing with all the ppl and their different stories, but when you started to know the carachters it turned out very good. I just started LotW tonight and will read on, and after the VotG I will find out which trilogy I liked the most. Maybe I like them equally much, they are a little hard to compare since it feels like they are written in different ways. In BMT you get closer to the carachters in a way and in AotF you get to know more carachters but maybe not so close? Not even sure what I mean now  I'm confusing myself as I seem to be doing from time to time..... But as far, nothing compares to my crush on AKKARIN    , and i have a feeling nothing in the AotF will make me cry as much and make me feel as miserable as when he died. And that may actually be good. So I will see if I am right in a week or so, or maybe two.

Your comparison so far is pretty good, and i dont think you will feel the way about someone in aotf as you did akkarin, hes special to be honest isn't he :) I agree, they are both hard to compare and say which one is better, they are both very different :) Hope you enjoy the rest of them!

Are my computer playing a trick on me or did you actually post the same post 8 times :P :P :P :P

Zurina- 07-01-2008

:opps: i sure did, didn't mean to, the forums been playing up lately for me and it wasnt telling me i had posted it (ive deleted them now though :D)

Lorlyn- 07-01-2008

(if her post did post 8 times then it's been deleted :) I believe the multi posts come from members clicking the submit button more then once after they finish typing their reply...the key is to be patient.....)

Lady Nirakka- 07-01-2008

Yes patience is the key, it almost happened to me a lot of of times too, so i copied what I had written and went back to the thread to see if my post was posted . And they always were. Maybe it is my slooooooowwww computer, but tomorrow I will get a new one. Ok I am sorry for me straying off the topic, I am tuning in again......

Lorlyn- 07-01-2008

it's okay Nirakka. I consider it double posting a important concern since some members tend to do it more then others. I open new tabs and keep browsing in different parts of the forum until that one tab posts (though it'll usually show up sooner then it shows me) mistakes happen. as long as everyone knows why the double posts appear and how to prevent it then that's what matters. We can always delete the extra posts like Zurina did but having to do it all the time for the same members becomes annoying :)

So now I know I was right, nothing in the AoF made me feel so sad as when Akkarin died or cry as much, when I finished the AoF I felt sad that it was over, but it didn't make the void that I felt after putting down the High Lord. I didn't even shed a tear over the ending. And I wasn't much for the epilogue ,I would rather it have been about the wilds than the Maker. But as always it is the author who makes the end not me so I can like or dislike it as much as I want - it will not change.

Lady Nirakka- 07-22-2008

Forgot to say that I really enjoyed AoF too. I think as much as BMT but it didn't stir up my emotions as much.

Lady Nirakka- 07-22-2008

yesssss I am now a servant, even though I think almost that was a step down from Akkarin's shoeshiner and now I can't be close to Akkarin anymore, unless I can be a servant for him......
