Erm... excuse me, I'm here to learn some basic skills...

"Ah finally my first novice has arrived”, said Rothen. “Would you like to pull up a seat and we can maybe get to know each other a little?”

'ok' Daniver pulled up a chair and sat opposite Lord Rothen and wondered what sort of questions he was going to ask

"Judging by your looks id say your maybe a fourth year Novice, right? What I'd like to ask is what discipline interests you the most and Why you like it?

'well i like Healing. i really want to help people.'

"Ah, a budding healer. Have you been to any healing classes yet or have you come here first to learn some of the basics?" "I really wish those other students would turn up soon because if they don't we'll be waiting a long time."

'i'd like to learn the basics first, but what do you mean we cant start if others dont come?'

"Well im expecting some others to join us. Akala is showing Lady Shadow and lady Darkness around the guild but once their done we can start." "Are there any questions you would like to ask?"

'yes, erm what will you be testing?'

(I think I'll make up either a general knowledge quiz or maybe something to do with the lessons we cover? Im also open for suggestions.) "The test at the end of this block will consist of a practical exam where you must demonstrate different uses of magic and a paper where you will be tested on the theory."

'alright.i think i'm clear on most things now.thank you.'

Akala cleared his throat and entered. 'My Lord, Daniver, good to see you both. I hope I am in time to start basic skills once again. LS and LD will join us shortly. I got your note, my Lord. I am happy to help in any way that you see fit. I am humbled by your thinking of me.'

Cursing inwardly, Shadow pulled her robe straight while descending the stairs of the Novice Quarters. Not having any manner of alarm clock, she was afraid she had overslept. Hastening over the path and to the Entrance Hall, she finally arrived at the door of the Basic Skills class. Taking a moment to catch her breath, she tried to calm down. This was it after all, the class in which her magic would be released, the class in which someone else would invade her mind. Supressing a shiver, she knocked on the door and opened it. After bowing deeply, she spoke in a faint voice. "Pardon me, Lord. I did not mean to be late."

"No worries Lady Shadow, your just on time." Rothen sat behind his oak desk and shuffled some strewn papers into a neat pile. "If everyone would like to bring a seat and form a semi circle around the desk we may begin todays lesson. From what i have gathered some of you here have been in the guild longer than others and therefore know more about magic, whereas others are complete novices and are totally inexperienced. Do not worry because in this class we are going to start from the very beginning and take it one step at a time. To start of todays lesson i would like you to take a look at the lessons plan and if you have any questions please ask them now."
