Smiling at the novices once again, Akala nodded. 'Yes, the university, and especially this grand hall, does contain magically enhanced building techniques and architecture. The uses of magic in relation to building will be explained to you in your alchemy classes. The staircases in front of you are all magically enchanced.' Turning to the right, Akala motioned. 'Come, I will show you the basic skills classroom. I am still attending the basic skills lesson, so we can go together when it reassembles.'

Shadow looked around once more, still wondering how the whole thing could keep standing. She had heard of it before and knew the buildings and structures were as strong as any block of stone. But still, upon seeing it with her own eyes, it almost looked too fragile to actually exist. Noting Akala had already walked several paces further, Shadow quickly followed. 'So magical architecture will be discussed in Alchemy, huh? That will be interesting. I wonder if we will get to try it ourselves...', Shadow thought to herself. ('Officialy' it is the next day that Shadow and Darkness have their first basic lesson. But we'll see what Akala and Darkness say ^-^)

(Yeah, I'll take LS and LD around a bit more, show them this and that, and then if you can start teaching again, that would be fantastic. Thank you.)

Akala led LS and LD towards the classroom, pointing out some of the details of the architecture that he particularly liked. 'This, then, is the classroom which houses the basic skills programe. We don't usually have classes here, but this is a place which all novices, no matter their specialisation, can meet and learn the essential skills they will need when training to be a magician.' The younger novices peered inside, but there was nothing to see bar Lord Rothen's note and a semi-circle of chairs. 'You'll find out more tomorrow. Now, would you like to see the area next?'

(I asume it is Arena you meant?) Shadow looked at Darkness and then back at Akala. Shrugging slightly, she gave a nod. She had heard the barrier around the Arena was strengthened by many magicians in order to pretect the surroundings from the magical battles going on inside. Not having a clue whether she was magically strong or not, she was sure though she would not be a good Warrior. She was interested in seeing the Arena and maybe even in seeing fights happening inside it. But she was sure she was not interested in fighting herself.

Rothen carefully removed the note from the dor, entered the class and sat behind the desk. Standing up he grabbed a piece of chalk from the desk and started to write: Basic skills Welcome to the basic skills class. Over the next few weeks you will be learning a variety of methods and practical techniques, that will help you in wielding the magic within you. The programme is as follows: Lesson 1 Opening your mind and sourcing your magic. Lesson 2 Unlocking your magic Lesson 3 Directing and shaping magic Lesson 4 Uses for magic Lesson 5 Basic shields, globe lights etc Lesson 6 Test Some of the lessons above might be extended all depending on how well you can cope with the work.
