Revan grinned. Good old Nim! :lol: "Yes, and even better, though, if it was while demonstrating something." He kept his voice in a whisper, eyeing Akala with a mix of nervous glee. He was buisy helping Hudine to get up.

"Yeah kind of looking forward to the lesson but could do with a nap." LD smiled tiredly. "Yeah nim we're here to learn. No messing about." She grinned. After her giggling fit as hudine entered, she calmed down and leaned forward on her desk, waiting patiently for the lesson to start.

Nim pouted "LD don't be a spoil sport. You know it was funny." Nim shrugged and set about calming her mind to learn. She had to stop messing about now, this was important. Sniffing she set about learning.

"yeah it was" LD laughed.

Nim grinned briefly at LD then faced the front of the class. Hudine had sat down, looking a little sore. Now they were just waiting for Akala to begin again.

'I know that some of you have started studying the basics of magic, and others are just starting out, but we will start at the beginning. I want you to firstly focus on your own magic. Close your eyes, and breath deeply. Find your magic within yourselves. Don't do anything with it, just visualize, and feel it. Feel your magic. Akala added mentally.

Shadow shifted slightly on the seat, trying to sit as comfortable as possible. Closing her eyes, she quickly found her way to the center of her power. When she had started practising to find her power, she always had to use her 'home', as Lorlyn had instructed her. But by practising it more and more, she could immediately locate herself at the 'doorstep' to the room in which her power was.

Revan visualised the power source. It stood there clearly for him, more or less fully recovered from the 'disaster' a day or two ago. He closed his eyes in the mental world. He no longer saw anything, but he felt his power, it tickled him lightly, wanting to be played with, it seemed. He barely resisted. He also heard it. A faint breeze playing with leaves in a tree. A lazy wave creeping onto a sandy shore. He felt strangely at peace.

Nim sent a quick smile at Revan, breathed out and closed her eyes. This was easy enough for her and she soon located her source. Complete with the surrounding pyramid she had made. It rippled and danced creating patterns of light in her mind. It felt warm and somehow safe. She could have stayed there forever.

Akala took a moment to look at his pupils, trying to ascertain their progress by sight. Good, very good, he thought. They are getting this. He decided to say so. 'You're all doing so well, exactly as I had in mind. Don't stop, just keep doing this, and, next, try to push the magic out through your barrier. Don't do anything with it now, just focus, reach, and push.'

Revan used his willpower as best he could, and slowly his magic started to glide out the barrier. He smiled a little at his progress, his eyes still closed.

Nim had already done this with Akala to a fashion and had been practising. Using her will power she pushed her magic out and unconsciencly created a small shield.

Keeping up with the rest of the class LD relaxed, closed her eyes and easily found her power source. Then as instructed she focused and pushed the magic out through the barrier. She took a deep breath and smiled.

Concentrating, Shadow willed her power to expand. Reaching her barrier, she forced her power to go just a bit further, until it was barely past the barrier. Having her eyes closed, she had no idea of the result, but she was shimmering slightly as if reflecting light. It was barely noticeable, only if one would pay close attention and even then if might be considered a trick of the light. Keeping her breathing even and slow, she hoped she had done what was demanded, but was not sure.
