oh I know! that was cool. I wasn't sure about Genza at first but she did grow on me a bit.
I agree. the pentadrians spent more time with their people and it made a difference.

they, the pentadrians, also seem to give more time to the people, they seem more concerned with the individual citizen. The circlians seem more preoccupied with following their Gods' orders then sorting out things from their own moral code.
I agree with that

yeah, the Voices spent more time concerned about their people and their gods - but that may have only been because their gods were more interfering in northern Ithania. You just have to think would they still be like that if the gods were as active in the south?

they might not have been. which in a way makes me like them better. Their not dependant on the gods. They can make they're own choices. The Pentadrian society will do far better after the time of the gods then Ithania who will have a harder time without gods.

I suppose it would have been hard for the gods to take equal interest in both continents which was probably better for the Pentadrians.
I'd agree that after time it'll be easier for them to survive without the gods although in the short term it will be a big blow to their society as well because (I think) there was the assumption if the humans got a decision wrong the gods would intervene and also a lot of the customs would become a bit pointless if there were no gods to supposedly help the people in whatever aspect of life the ritual was for.

....Like the supposed orgies they had, it was apparently due to the Gods help that these couples would concieve.

to bad it is unlikely that the gods did help them conceive. but your right that ritual would become pointless without any gods.
