Zurina peered out and noticed some had taken the bait, probably seeing if it had been the truth. "Theres more up there, only one has left. It didn't work. What now? A decoy perhaps?"

Caloth flew through the night, as jmerc guided her to the forest, as the approached jmerc asked Caloth is she was ready. When her friend confirmed she was they dived down. Opening her mouth Caloth let out a stream of fire, as ahe flew over the forest. Nodding in satsfaction jmerc asked Caloth to do a second sweep and then a thrird. Soon the whole forest had turned to a mass of fires. Smoke billowed up into the the sky and heat rolled off it. It was beautiful. Happy with her job she told Caloth to take them between back to the Healer's quatres.

No. didn't work. we might have to attack outright. maybe use the passages and attack from the inside. their not going to leave. jmerc was the one to leave. She must of left the others to defend the area while she checked it out. perhaps we could use the forest to our advantage somehow?

Alira smelled smoke. Lots of smoke. "I think the forest is a little too dangerous right now", she said dryly. "What do we do about Jmerc's dragon? It's a very strong magical beast, no idea whether our strikes can hurt it, and I'm sure vampires have no such power to defend dragons. Anyway, I can move pretty fast, faster than humans, I could try getting past the attackers into the Healer's Quarters. I just don't know what to do then. I don't know where the stuff you need is, or how I could recognise it." Alira looked questioningly at Zurina.

"The serum which we seek is kept in a magically sealed vault that contains highly rare expensive anecdotes, for example our warewolf serum. It needs a special decription code to open it and it needs my magic. Its specifically designed so that only i can open it, much similar to that of the cupboard with the antique books in it in the magicians library." Zurina said downheartedly. "We could use the passage, but create a decoy within the quarters in order to take the attention away from my office perhaps?"

"Jmerc's the only problem. She is the only one who can send really powerful strikes, I don't worry about fighting the other attackers. I could have a bout with some werewolves at the entrance, that would keep them away from your office. But it would be better if someone went with me, two are stronger than one. A vampire would be best." Her gaze hopefully swifted to the others. Maybe one of them would become a vampire, too, even with Lorlan's and Zurina's permission.

Charen looked at Alira with kitty eyes. She admired vampires and would really like to be one, too. She had had no idea what her guardian was, but she already played with the thought of asking Alira to bite her.

"well not me. I'd like to go in with Zurina. who knows who's inside and could attack. You go from outside" said lorlyn to Alira looking around at the novices and vinera. "hum....I don't like the idea of you biting someone else. but seeing as we're outnumbered we have don't have much choice." (note: you are not a vampire in regular roleplay. not allowed. going to make a note about werewolves in the other thread. though I think they're wereanimals instead of just a werewolf.)

Don't you look at me, Administrator! I'm not gonna let myself be bitten. Vinara said and raised an eyebrow, her gaze fell on Charen who seemed to admire Alira. Charen might not mind though... she added. But a good thinking to go in with Zurina. Shall I help Lady Alira or shall I stay and help protect the rest of our little group?

I wouldn't have let Alira bite you even if you wanted it, Vinara. I don't think Akkarin would be very thrilled about his novice being a vampire. Akala might be better to come with us. He doesn't know as much and you can help Alira more.

(Alright, I already thought being a vampire wouldn't be allowed for long :D it's still funny :lol: ) Alira looked around. Except Charen, no one seemed to like the idea of becoming a vampire. But did her novice know what this sacrifice meant? "Charen, I see you would like me to bite you. Do you understand what this means for your life? You will be undead, which means you can't give birth. To use your powers, you have to drink blood, maybe even kill. The world will be different for you. No one will accept you after realising what you are. The change can't be reversed. Are you sure you want to do this change?"

Zurina rolled her eyes and thought, 'yes, becuase we've got all the time in the world here don't we!'

"What is it, Zurina?" Alira had noticed Zurina rolling her eyes and sensed her being distressed.

Zurina looked at Alira and contemplate for a moment her words. "Oh, nothing Alira, nothing at all!" The sarcasm in her voice was all too apparent, "Except the fact that you are willing to change your novice into a blood sucking killer to walk the earth undead for the rest of eternity! Nothing at all becuase thats a perfectly fine thing to expect or ask someone to do. She doesn't know what she wants, she looks up to you and you're using that to get your own way, to make her like you so that you wont be lonely for the rest of your days. Your being selfish Alira and we dont have time for such things! Every minute we waste with your dilemas is costing me my healers and my patients. Not to mention the guilds welfare!"

"Selfish? Me? I don't like the thought of another vampire either, but like Lorlyn said, we don't really have a choice." Alira's voice was as cold as ice, her gaze was even colder. "I'd prefer someone older to bear the consequences of becoming undead, but Charen isn't such a bad choice. She's responsible and trustworthy. Yes, I use her looking up to me, because that will make sure she won't go astray, but follow my command. It's Charen's very own decision to become, what you call 'a bloodsucking killer', but we bloodsuckers will be the ones who will save your ass in the end."
