I've been practicing all afternoon. It appears I'm good at hair and noses, ok at eyes and AWFUL with lips and hands.
Still haven't found a promising book. They're all for kids! (I'm 20 and buying a drawing book for an 8 yr old would be a teensy bit demeaning!).

Don't worry, no one can do hands. God created them to p**s off artists. I tend to just do a line for the mouth and forget the lips...in other word I cheat.

Try waterstones's art section, thats where i got mine from, either that or boarders, i got one on the human body for £9.99. so its not too bad :D

Ugh hands are a nightmare. I tried an endless amount of books and still couldn't get it right. In the end I bought one of those wooden hands which have joints where real fingers do, and you can curl them into any position you want. It really did help, actually.. though I still suck at hands...

hands are hiddeous!!!!!!!! i HATE them!! when i draw, i leave out the hands or hide the behind something lol hands are such ridiculous contraptions!

Oh darn I thought we became Higher Magician's at 400 posts, not 500. *pouts* It feels like I'm on here everyday since August (which I pretty much am) but I still seem to have made so few posts :( I mean, look at Jmerc, a member since July and at 1000 posts already! Me a member since March with a measly 380 posts... *sad puppy face*

Yeah.. there are so many members with no posts at all... perhaps the mods should do a clearing of the members list.. but then again I suppose some may eventually want to post and discover their membership deleted..
